Position Title: Welder

Wage: $25/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7am-3:30pm

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Welder for a company in Kenosha, WI. The Welder position is an intermediate-level, skilled position performing a variety of welding and related tasks (e.g., brazing and cutting) using gas and/or electric welding equipment. The Welder receives specific work assignments under limited supervision and resolves problems with limited supervisory assistance. The Welder work involves considerable skill and is subject to final inspection and test. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review job orders (written or verbal) and interpret welding specifications according to code certifications, alignment, dimensional, and general inspection requirements
- Set up jobs, fit and position weldments using fixtures, jigs, etc., and varies welding techniques, materials and equipment within recognized limits or procedures
- Perform welding and related tasks such as surface preparation, thermal cutting, and grinding
- Inspect welds and welded surfaces for proper bonds
- Clean and maintain work area (daily), welding equipment and other tools of the trade
- Working knowledge of standard welding principles and techniques including oxyacetylene welding, arc welding, and inert gas welding (e.g., TIG, MIG)
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Ensure that all work is done in accordance with and adhere to IEA’s ISO and Quality standards

Welder Requirements:
- Maximum lifting requirement (pounds), 100 (infrequently, assisted lifting), 50 (occasionally), 25 (frequently)
- Frequent lifting, carrying, standing, sitting (operating forklift), walking, climbing, crouching, stooping, squatting, and twisting upper body
