Job Description
Sleep Technician (Polysomnography Technician)-Join our state-of-the-art sleep medicine team and help patients achieve restful, healthier nights.
What you’ll do- Set up and monitor patient sleep studies (polysomnography) in a clinical sleep lab
Calibrate and troubleshoot PSG equipment, sensors, and monitoring devices
Observe and document patient status during sleep, ensuring safety and comfort
Score and interpret overnight studies under physician supervision, following AASM guidelines
Assist with patient preparation, sizing of sensors, and data collection
Provide compassionate patient education and support; address concerns and respond to emergencies
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure strict adherence to privacy and regulatory standards
Collaborate with sleep physicians, technologists, and other care team members
What we’re looking for- Certification as a Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) strongly preferred; limited licensure requirements vary by region
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional postsecondary healthcare training a plus
Experience in a sleep lab or clinical setting is preferred; entry-level candidates with related healthcare experience may be considered.
