Job Summary and Qualifications

MRI Technologist - PRN/Per Diem

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity. This is a PRN/per diem/as-needed role. Flexible availability is necessary for consideration.

As an MRI Tech at HCA Florida Blake Hospital your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
• Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Qualifications:

· Graduate of a 2-year, AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology

· Valid ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR)

· Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· Minimum of 1-3 years of prior/current MRI Technologist experience

· Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
