Manufacturing Engineer – Gear Hobbing Specialist
📍 Whitsett, NC | 💵 $90,000–$115,000
We’re hiring a Manufacturing Engineer with gear hobbing expertise to help elevate our production operations. In this hands-on role, you’ll drive process improvements, enhance efficiency, and support product excellence in partnership with global teams.
🔧 What You’ll Do:
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and planning teams to improve workflows.
- Use root cause analysis to troubleshoot tooling, equipment, and product issues.
- Recommend and justify new equipment based on ROI, safety, and performance.
- Support new product launches from prototype to production.
- Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence projects.
🧠 What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Gear hobbing experience is required .
- Strong knowledge of GD&T , machining processes, and tolerance stack-ups.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, diagrams, and technical documents.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle; electronics knowledge a plus.
