Title: Injection Mold Operator
Location: Chicopee, MA - 01022
Duration: 12-18 months
Positions available:
- 2 day shift 7:00 am – 3:30pm
- 2 night shift 11:00 pm – 7:30 am
Injection Molding Machine Operator in Chicopee MA. In this role, you will primarily operate injection molding equipment used to make plastic plates used in medical laboratories.
Injection Molding Operator Responsibilities:
- Following the jobs traveler/work order, operate injection molding machines used in the manufacturing process of plastic parts
- Perform setup, calibrations, and shut down of machines as required or needed.
- Perform various quality checks on the product during and after the manufacturing process. This consists of visual and hands on precision measurements.
- Ensure machine operations are running optimally by maintaining work and break schedules.
- Unload finished parts, stack and bag product for storage/shipping.
- Operate computer to load and run work instructions, track production, scrap, downtime, and machine adjustments that have been performed.
- Properly and promptly inform management of any issues, machine downtime, and mis manufactured product.
- Ensure all product not meeting specifications are segregated and properly marked
- Assist with other duties in other areas as needed.
Candidate Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous machine production operation experience, ideally injection molding.
- Demonstrated ability to follow documented procedures and processes
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Desire to be part of a motivated and energetic team
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Bilingual communications skills a plus
