General Sales Manager – High Volume, Top Tier Dealership

Location: Portland, OR
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Six-figure earning potential – base + aggressive performance bonuses + benefits

About the Dealership:
We are a fast-paced, high-volume dealership representing one of the most respected automotive brands in the industry. We consistently rank among the top performers and are looking for a General Sales Manager (GSM) to take the helm of our sales operation and continue driving exceptional results.

The Role:
You will oversee all front-end sales operations, including leadership of a large sales staff, desking, inventory management, and customer engagement. This is a high-accountability role with high rewards for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a 30+ person sales team to hit volume, gross, and CSI goals.

  • Desk deals quickly and profitably while supporting strong F&I performance.

  • Manage inventory, appraisals, and turn rates with precision.

  • Monitor and drive CRM usage, lead response times, and appointment conversions.

  • Recruit, train, and retain top-tier sales professionals.

  • Maintain a strong customer-first culture while maximizing profitability.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of automotive sales management experience.

  • Success in high-volume operations (200+ units/month preferred).

  • Strong desking, F&I, and CRM skills.

  • Leadership style: results-driven, no excuses, team-focused.

  • High-energy, thrives under pressure, solutions-oriented.
