What you'll do... - Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for clients and internal accounts
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Prepare and file tax documents, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax returns
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Generate financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Communicate with clients regarding financial matters in both English and Spanish
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Collaborate with CPAs and other financial professionals as needed
What you'll bring to the team... - High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to develop and maintain effective client and employee relationships.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate Windows-based software applications
- Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, and detail-oriented abilities to meet established work output timelines
- Minimum of 6 hours of college-level accounting coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- No previous work experience necessary
- Oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
It would be even better if you also had... - Bi-lingual skills
- Certified in QuickBooks.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Creative Solutions Accounting, QuickBooks Pro, Peachtree, Great Plains, etc.
